Heat-pump design, installation and aftercare across Scotland
Thinking about a heat pump? A free FLO survey checks your current heating, hot water and heat loss to see what your property can support. If a heat pump fits, we design and install the complete system.

More than an outdoor unit
A heat pump can only deliver the comfort and efficiency its design allows. FLO checks each room, the emitter sizes, hot-water demand, pipework, electrical supply, outdoor position and controls before the system is fixed in writing.

The unit, cylinder, emitters, pipework, controls and electrical work are considered together.
Commissioning, controls guidance and aftercare are part of the route—not an afterthought.
FLO project photography
Every installation has different space, access, appearance and system requirements. These photographs from FLO’s own project library show why the position and surrounding system matter.

Cold-weather duty, exposure, fuel replacement and service access all influence the design.

A heat pump changes electrical demand; solar, batteries and supply capacity should be considered early.

Airflow, sound, drainage, pipe routes and future maintenance determine a sensible position.
Your FLO assessment and quote
FLO assesses the property first, explains what we recommend and puts the proposed system, installation work, price, exclusions and aftercare in writing.
Request a free heat-pump surveyFLO records the calculated heat loss for each room, the design temperature and how the proposed heat pump is sized.
Your quote lists the heat pump, cylinder, radiator or underfloor-heating changes, pipework, controls and electrical work.
You see the outdoor position, indoor equipment, pipe and cable routes, access needs, likely disruption and expected programme.
FLO sets out commissioning, controls guidance, certificates, warranties, servicing and who to contact after installation.

See this serviceCommon questions
Yes, when the system is sized for the building's design conditions and commissioned correctly. Output and efficiency at colder temperatures must be part of the design.
Not automatically. A room-by-room assessment shows which emitters are adequate and where a larger radiator or other change is justified.
Age alone is not the deciding factor. Heat loss, airtightness, available emitter area, pipework and the occupants' comfort pattern determine the right approach.
