The answer you need

What should a routine heat-pump service actually check?

The visit should inspect the equipment and accessible system, review alarms and settings, check filters or strainers, confirm basic operation and identify issues that need repair or deeper performance analysis.

The property-specific checks

How will FLO find the problem?

We use these details to work out what is practical, what needs more investigation and what the next step should be.

01

Physical condition

Inspect outdoor airflow, coils, drains, accessible water components and visible defects.

02

Operating record

Review alarms, temperatures, schedules and energy data where the system exposes them.

03

User experience

Connect reported comfort or hot-water problems to settings and system behaviour.

The next step with FLO

Tell us what is happening. We'll work out what to check.

Describe the fault or performance issue first. FLO will discuss the appropriate checks and any proposed work with you before you decide.

Good to know

Questions you may have.

Can FLO service a system it did not install?+

Share the make, model, postcode and service history. FLO can confirm whether the equipment and location can be supported.

Will a service fix a design problem?+

Maintenance can improve condition and settings, but undersized emitters, poor hydraulics or unsuitable equipment may need separate corrective work.

What should I do before the visit?+

Keep the system accessible, record displayed messages and describe when the problem happens. Do not open electrical or refrigerant equipment.

What might change the recommendation?+

A routine service cannot prove seasonal efficiency from a short visit, and it should not conceal faults or design limitations behind a reset. Further diagnosis may be the honest next step.
