The answer

Can every proposed array export at full power?

A solar system's network route depends on its electrical characteristics and the local connection. Some systems can be notified under the appropriate process; others need network approval before installation. A roof that fits panels does not guarantee unrestricted export.

Why the network operator is involved

The distribution network operator manages the wires connected to your property. The proposed inverter capacity, existing generation and export arrangement determine the application or notification route. Under G98 and G99, the procedural difference matters to programme and sometimes cost; ask the installer to identify the route for your exact design.

Avoid a late redesign

A network response may set an export limit or require work. If a battery, heat pump or EV charging is planned, the electrical picture should include those future loads too. Establish who submits information, who pays for any connection changes and when approval is needed before ordering equipment on a fixed timetable.
