Every property is different. The free survey checks what is possible before you commit to a system.

Community and commercial property with rooftop solar and outdoor heating equipment

The answer you need

What makes a CARES technical proposal credible?

It connects community use and current energy with the building condition, heat or electrical design, proposed measures, enabling work and a realistic operating plan after handover.

The property-specific checks

What will FLO check for your property?

We use these details to work out what is practical, what needs more investigation and what the next step should be.

01

Use and comfort

02

Building and energy

Review fabric, defects, bills, meters, plant, roof and electrical capacity.

03

Deliverability

Resolve permissions, access, network, maintenance and fund timetable.

The next step with FLO

Questions you may have.

Should every project include heat, solar and a battery?+

No. The package should follow the building need, eligible route and energy evidence. Storage needs its own technical case.

How should intermittent use be represented?+

Use booking calendars, target comfort, warm-up periods and zone-specific loads rather than one assumed daily schedule.

Can design continue before eligibility is confirmed?+

Reusable evidence can progress, but keep grant-dependent commitments separate and confirm the fund route before incurring avoidable cost.

What might change the recommendation?+

A grant application should not drive the building into an unsuitable all-technology package. Each measure needs a clear role, evidence and responsible operator.
