You run a Scottish SME, charity or not-for-profit and want energy-saving or renewable heat work at a non-residential property.

For eligible Scottish SMEs and not-for-profits
Could the Business Energy Scotland SME Loan help pay for your project?
Start by finding out what the building can support. FLO's free commercial energy survey checks the site, current energy use and proposed work, then helps turn the findings into a practical scope and quote.
FLO assesses the building and prices the work. Business Energy Scotland and the scheme administrator decide eligibility and awards. Funding information checked 2 October 2026.
Could this scheme fit you?
Is the SME Loan worth exploring for your organisation?
The scheme is for qualifying Scottish SMEs, charities and not-for-profits. FLO can assess the building and proposed work; Business Energy Scotland decides whether the organisation and project meet the funding rules.
You are a private-sector landlord, the work is residential, the project has already started or the measure may not be on the current list.
